Lead intelligence for solar installers
Every home ranked 0-100 by Curbsight's proprietary scoring, with roof age, owner-vs-renter, and property value on the card. Find the homeowners who can actually go solar before you knock.
The short version
Solar installation has tight qualification criteria — roof needs to be ≤15 years old, south-facing exposure helps, homeowner needs to actually own the home (not renting), and the property value needs to support the financing. Curbsight answers all four before you knock: estimated roof age, a satellite view of the roof, owner-occupied vs rental, and market value, all on the property card. The result is fewer wasted knocks on roofs that can't take a system.
What solar reps deal with
- Roofs over 15 years old will fail under panel weight or before the system pays back — qualifying out is critical
- Renters can't authorize a solar install — owner-occupied vs rental matters enormously
- Property value gating drives financing eligibility — under $150k often can't finance
- Aerial orientation analysis requires either a site visit or satellite tooling reps don't have
How Curbsight helps
Roof age estimation
An estimated roof age with its confidence on every card. Filter to roofs ≤15 years for solar viability.
Owner-occupied vs rental
Flagged on every property card. Rentals are red-flagged for solar pitches.
Satellite imagery built in
Every property has a satellite view in the dashboard. Visual roof orientation check without a separate tool.
Property value filter
Filter to the value bands that can actually carry the financing — under $150k usually can't.

WHAT TO SAY
“I work with solar installers in your area. Quick question — has anyone talked to you about putting solar on the south-facing side of your roof?”
Common questions
Does Curbsight measure roof orientation automatically?
Not in v1 — orientation is visible from the satellite imagery on each property card but not auto-classified. Auto-classification of roof orientation from satellite is on the long-term roadmap.
Can I filter by recent sale (new owner = more receptive)?
Yes — last_sale_year is in the property data and surfaces on the card. Filter the dashboard to recent sales for the 'new owner is in upgrade mode' motion.
