The Real Cost of a 5-Seat Roofing Software Stack

Sol Zendejas-Smith·Founder, Curbsight·Updated October 2, 2026·9 min read
The short answer

For a five-rep residential shop in September 2026, Roofr plus CompanyCam plus Sales Rabbit with data add-ons plus a time app lands around $850 to $1,150 a month before anyone measures a roof. Forty reports in a busy month pushes the same stack past $1,400. Curbsight OS is $750 for those five office seats, crew seats free, no per-report fee. AccuLynx still wins if the operating system is Xactimate. Full disclosure: Curbsight is ours. See the seat price on Curbsight OS.

How we priced this

Every dollar here is a published rate or a labeled range, pulled September 29, 2026. This is the monthly software bill for a five-person exterior shop that knocks, photographs, measures, proposes, and pays people. It is not payroll, gas, or shingles. Quote-only vendors are shown as ranges other operators report, not as a sticker we invented.

The comparison at a glance

Sticker versus sticker plus 40 measurement reports. Roofr at $249, CompanyCam at about $24 times 5, Sales Rabbit with data at about $87 times 5, time and commission tools at $50. Reports at a $16 blend of the published $13 to $19 band. Curbsight OS is $150 times 5. No annual prepay discounts applied. The homepage range of $1,385 to $2,675 is the same shape of stack with more add-ons and a heavier report month.

The sticker and the meter

Two prices hide inside every roofing software page. The sticker is the monthly line. The meter is everything that moves when you do more work. Roofr's published report rate in 2026 sits at $13 to $19 depending on plan. Forty roofs in a good month is $520 to $760 on top of the $249. That is how a measurement company stays in business. It is also why a page that looks cheaper than $750 can cost more than $750 by the third week of storm season. Sales Rabbit's published per-rep band, roughly $39 to $75 before data, is the same trick. The map is blank until a rep fills it in. Property data is an add-on. A storm team that buys those add-ons reports an all-in closer to $90 to $140 a seat.

The hire is the other meter

On the common stack, a sixth office seat is another CompanyCam seat and another Sales Rabbit seat and, if the CRM is per-user, another CRM seat. Using the mid-band above, that hire adds roughly $110 to $250 a month in software on day one. On Curbsight OS the sixth office seat is $150. Crew does not add a seat. If the person you just hired is on a roof and not in the pipeline, the bill does not move.

The pattern to notice

Roofing software is sold as seats and features. It is paid as seats, meters, and handoffs. The category assumption is that finding the work, documenting it, measuring it, and collecting on it are four purchases. Each looks reasonable. The four together are how a five-person shop gets near two thousand dollars a month and still pastes addresses between tabs. Whether you pick Curbsight or not, price the month you are busy, not the month you signed.

The one we'd pick, and why

For a five-seat residential shop that knocks and runs insurance plus retail in the same pipeline, Curbsight OS at $750 is the bill I would rather explain. One invoice. Crew free. Estimates that do not grow a meter when the storm is good. I would not pick it as the only tool in an Xactimate-or-nothing restoration shop. I would not pick the scored layer and then be angry that a county we have not stood up yet is not scored on Monday. Exclusive territory is a different decision: the add-on that puts the 0-100 map and the hail footprint on those seats, from +$1,000 a month for 20 zips. Do not mash that into this table to win it.

Frequently asked questions

What does roofing software cost for a 5-person company in 2026?
A common four-tool stack runs about $850 to $1,150 a month at published rates before measurement reports, and about $1,400 in a 40-report month. Curbsight OS is $750 for five office seats. AccuLynx and JobNimbus are quote-based.
How much is Curbsight per month?
Field is $79 per seat per month, no minimum and no contract. Curbsight OS is $150 per seat per month from the first seat, crew seats free. Exclusive territory starts at +$1,000 a month for 20 zips. Seven-day trial, no card to start.
Is Roofr cheaper than a roofing CRM?
On the sticker, often. Essentials around $249 undercuts almost every per-seat CRM. The report meter is the rest of the bill. Run $13 to $19 times your busy-month count before you call it cheaper.
Does Sales Rabbit include a CRM?
No. It tracks the knock. The job still needs a place to live after the door, which is why shops end up with Sales Rabbit plus a CRM plus CompanyCam plus a measurement login.
