Radar-confirmed hail footprints, opened over Box Butte County. Drag to follow a storm across county lines; the map is the whole country. A county with no footprint drawn has no radar-confirmed swath on record yet, and its 90 NOAA events still stand.
This page holds every NOAA-documented hail and severe wind event in Box Butte County, Nebraska from 2016 to 2025. Box Butte County has logged 90 hail events in that time, 36 of them at 1.75″ (golf-ball) or larger, the size that routinely qualifies a roof for an insurance claim. Add 46 severe thunderstorm-wind events topping out at 75 mph, and most homes in the county have a documented weather event inside the typical carrier filing window. In Curbsight, a hail-hit roof shows up with its storm date already on the card, so nobody cross-references storm records by hand.
